Being really together is what I\u2019d prefer<\/p>\n
Her gorgeous hair, her beautiful face<\/p>\n
That glorious figure I\u2019d love to embrace<\/p>\n
The more we chatted my feelings grew<\/p>\n
But that this was crazy I certainly knew<\/p>\n
How could a vision like her ever be with me?<\/p>\n
There\u2019s simply no chance of ever being \u201cwe\u201d<\/p>\n
The very thought of her makes my chest swell<\/p>\n
No question this girl has me under her spell<\/p>\n
She makes me so happy with what she says<\/p>\n
She\u2019s simply beyond perfect in so many ways<\/p>\n
Every man has a vision of his \u201cdream girl\u201d<\/p>\n
Someone who sets his heart in a whirl<\/p>\n
Absolutely no question this girl is that for me<\/p>\n
Can I stop thinking of her? That will never be<\/p>\n
Just to meet her would be a huge thrill<\/p>\n

I pray she forgives me for wanting more<\/p>\n

That I was younger, handsome and rich<\/p>\n
Good enough for her life to enrich<\/p>\n
Simple things like just walking hand in hand<\/p>\n
Would make me the happiest man in the land<\/p>\n
My mind races at the thought of a kiss<\/p>\n
Boy would that ever be pure bliss!<\/p>\n
Impossible not to think about making love<\/p>\n
Now there\u2019s the perfect gift from above<\/p>\n
But even God says, \u201chey, you stupid man\u201d<\/p>\n
Where\u2019d you get the idea this was the plan?<\/p>\n
It\u2019s far too late for you to think this way<\/p>\n
She\u2019s far too special. There won\u2019t be a day<\/p>\n
When she would ever settle for you at all<\/p>\n
You\u2019ll only get hurt when you surely fall<\/p>\n

Just be thankful she came into your life<\/p>\n
Forget stupid dreams of being your wife<\/p>\n

She\u2019s too sweet to be cruel about it<\/p>\n
But even a good friend has to admit<\/p>\n
That is what is will never change<\/p>\n
Believing it\u2019s not would be very strange<\/p>\n
So enjoy it while it lasts, lucky guy<\/p>\n
And never stop to question why<\/p>\n
She came into your life for a reason<\/p>\n
Or maybe it\u2019s just for a season<\/p>\n
Regardless, enjoy every minute you share<\/p>\n
